Punctuation Polemics

Here's a fun report on the semicolon from Slate.
I'd attribute the ire that mark generates to it's middle-of-the-road nature.

Either you punctuation do yes or you punctuation do no. Wax on, Wax off, man.

Safe advice from Mr. Miyagi.

Thanks to coworker Cara for pointing out what it is and what it isn't in this post.
See what you can find.

It's funny. When someone makes a mistake like that (er, present company excluded...)I'm like "oh, get an education much?" But when I write, for example, "hear" instead of "here," it's merely synapses cross-firing in whatever part of the brain handles homonyms.

What part of the brain handles the apostrophe?

Nice to have a laugh at oneself now and again.
